    Blanket guidelines

All blankets need to be new, handmade and washable.

Please no buttons, glitter, beads, sequins, fabric paint which is not cured or can peel or wool (ie: 100% acrylic yarns only) as they can pose a danger to the recipient children.

Double check that all pins are removed. Please use close knit and crochet patterns for blankets intended for babies and small children.  Patterns with holes can cause serious injury if tiny toes and fingers get caught.  Patterns with holes are OK for bigger children and teens.

Blankets can be any size - however, you may want to use the following as a guideline:

    Preemie/Stillborn:  60cm X 60cm
    Baby:  90cm X 90cm (approx. 36 X 36 inches)
    Child:  100cm X 150cm (approx. 40 X 60 inches)
    Teen:  115cm X 180cm (45 X 72 inches)
    Dolly/Teddy:  40cm X 40cm

    Drop-off Locations

Project Linus blankets can be left for collection at the following buisnesses:

    City Market Chemist, Civic
    Hobbysew, Belconnen
    The Shearing Shed, Manuka
    Rosemont The Patchwork Shop, Tuggeranong
    The Crafty Frog, Kambah

Alternatively, you can contact Rebecca at projectlinus@actewagl.net.au to arrange for collection.

If you would like a label attached to your blanket,  identifying you as the "blanketeer", please leave your name and postal address with your blanket(s).  Although Project Linus Blanketeers do not do their work for recognition or thanks, occasionally a child or their family will write to blanketeers to personally thank them for their gift.
