Project Linus (Canberra Chapter) - Providing Security through Blankets

How you can help Project Linus (Canberra Chapter)

By making a blanket

It is easy to help Project Linus.  Simply make a blanket and donate it to Project Linus.  Your blanket will then be given to a seriously ill or traumatised child between the ages of 0-18 years.  It is Project Linus’ policy to accept blankets of all sizes, depending on the needs of the recipient facilities.  All styles of blankets are welcome including quilts, fleece blankets, crocheted or knitted afghans and bunny rugs in child-friendly colours. There are, however, guidelines for making the blankets.

When finished, the blankets can be left at one of our drop-off locations or you can contact Rebecca at projectlinus@actewagl.net.au to arrange for collection.

Even if you can't knit, crochet or sew

You can still help Project Linus continue it's important work by:

* Telling your friends about Project Linus
* Giving us an opportunity to speak at your group or organisation
* Donating materials to a group making Project Linus blankets (yarn, fabric, knitting needles, crochet hooks) for use by other blanketeers
* Donating stamps, business and A4 size envelopes, thank you cards, computer paper etc
* Organising your own group for a work session
* Volunteering your business or organisation as a collection site for completed blankets

By sponsoring Project Linus (Canberra Chapter)

* Contact Rebecca at projectlinus@actewagl.net.au to find out about sponsorship opportunties.
